Cool 1910 Lincoln penny

I found this 1910 penny in my friend’s collection. We took a look and graded it ourselves. All the details are visible (Lincoln’s face, in god we trust, wheat ears, etc.)

Nice find. By the picture it looks like a VF/ very fine grade. Seeing the back would be helpful to grade it correctly.

Nice looking cent! On any Lincoln cents you want to look for wear on the cheek and hair. And the wheat stalks on the reverse. Any kind of wear will push it to at maximum AU. I would probably put your coin closer to VF-XF. Now. I am no expert (by any means) but I have done quite a bit of comparative research. I would look at graded examples on PCGS or NGC website. You can check multiple coins of one grade to find the similarities and differences. Granted sometimes you will see coins that you would think are F-12 that pull a VF grade but the more you study the more you will be able to see slight differences in the wear pattern.
