Up Date

The new update is STUPID. Now there’s like 10 categories for Lincoln Cents. KISS. KEEP IT Simple Stooge Now I have to go back & add my type 1 & 2’s back in the main category & all the hard work of adding them for your update to funky chicken it all up. & tell me how to remove your size weight, scale at the top of my coin adding page. It’s annoying!!! For the next update. Ask us users to give suggestions. I would of said no for this mess.

Phillyspeed Looks to me like you got this app in 2020 & I got it in 2021. I think I know plenty about this app. The best thing about it, Is it cuts out having tons of photos in your phone. Or having to carry a notebook everywhere. Keeps track of what year & mint you need & have. For example. I used the USA Lincoln Cent as example the pre update was 1909-1958 the wheat cent. That included the 3 steel cents during the WWII timeframe. The next set was 1959- to basically todate. Except now the shield cent. With the Lincoln monument on the reverse. That is a great way to K.I.S. If for any reason I wanted to make knowledge of these 3 being made differently from all the other wheat eras THERE IS a spot when adding a coin to your collection. It SAYS NOTES!!!!! You then have the ability to write in it the weight, the measurement, length, color, anything your heart desires to explain the coin to you. I use it to let me know how many colors of toning it has. Or if its a Birthday,Anniversary gift. No need for what the update did. Another example. You think I have no clue how to use the app. The 1922-D cent. There was Zero made in Philadelphia. But there is a NO D well known to collectors. That the app dose not provide because it should remain true to the Mint. If one wants to add such a coin in their App there’s a place to add it. & you can post it publicly to all others. So they can freely add it to their app or respectfully decline adding it. As I would of & will decline changes of the app. Unless it some how helps me. Then I would like the right to turn it on. After updating. The other thing is I would like to be able to follow my fellow coin club members & friends collection. But for some reason???? When looking up their app names it doesn’t show them as a CoinsChecker member. When I know for a fact they have this app. Ya. I’ve been one to promote this app to MANY People. Because of home much I 😍 it. Don’t want that to change!!! The only thing I think is the problem with not being able to do so is having different phone types. It would be a GREAT thing for the app to update. Having ALL of us to be able to connect together. That’s one of my desires to come from a update. Not Sorry! For my 1 person’s opinion !

Good grief, I wasn’t meaning to call you out and compare tenure. This app has changed several times over the years. Some ideas have worked some have not as well. I find change to be uncomfortable at first until I learn the new way to do something. There are just more breakdowns and specific groups for further details is what it looks like to me. We all have a common love of numismatics and this app, my intention is to be kind and respectful to all in our community so please accept my apology imams70. I wasn’t intending to be rude on your post.

Hi friend. Thanks for your response. Different designs have different properties but may have same year. To hide design properties info click on wrench icon on the top of the view then “coin info display” then toggle “coin info”. If you like the way it was before I will gladly add option to combine similar designs into one in the next update. Regards

Alek, This post does NOT reflect the thoughts of “us users” as a whole. I like what you’ve done and it has no bearing on my coin count, I have no idea why imams70 is having an issue. Don’t change things because of the voice of 1 person that doesn’t know how to use the app correctly.
