What are some common errors for a coin

I dont know what errors look like, and no I dont have a sus coin, But can you give me some ideas?

Agreed. You could Search The cherry pickers book too for more abnormal varieties. There are US mint errors going back to 1793 when they first started, no two dies were ever the same. Also search “Sheldon coin types”. Greysheet may be a great reference as well.

I recommend going to usmint.gov and look thru the learn tab into production basics. This will give you an understanding of how coins are made. Next… doubledie.com there are very good articles on minting errors and how they come into existence. Finally varietyvista.com find the section labeled what are die varieties and go thru the tabs available. The last 2 websites will have listings of mint errors/ die varieties and common issues. These sites are free research. If you are looking for pricing and values either the cherrypickers guide book or PCGS and NGC websites will have the more sought after mint errors.
